1 parbaked pie crust
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 cups peeled and
sliced apples
2 tbsp. flour
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
Crumb Topping
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, cold + diced
1/4 cup oats
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour and sugar in a large bowl. Add egg, sour cream, vanilla and nutmeg and whisk until smooth. Stir in sliced apples and pour the mixture into the parbaked pie crust. Bake for 45 minutes.
While the pie is baking, combine the flour, sugar, salt, oats and spices in a large bowl. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles pebbly soil. Remove the pie from the oven, increase the temperature to 400 and sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the pie. Return to the oven and bake 10-15 minutes longer.
